Lighting Designer
Elizabeth Kline Elizabeth Kline is a theatrically-trained Lighting Designer & Programmer currently based in Las Vegas, originally from the DC Metropolitan area (Woodbridge, VA). She has designed hundreds of live events and productions across the country spanning a number of different genres, but most frequently she spends her time lighting dance and theatre. Her most notable regional design credit to date has been designing a production of the play Sex with Strangers at Kansas City Rep as a part of The Rep’s first ever all female design team. Locally, she has been nominated for Best Lighting Design by the Las Vegas Valley Theatre Awards for five consecutive years and for seven different productions. Elizabeth achieved her Bachelor of Fine Arts in Theatre Design & Technology from The Pennsylvania State University and her Master of Fine Arts in Theatre Design from the University of Nevada, Las Vegas.

Elizabeth joined shop12 in 2018 after completing a two-year teaching contract for the Department of Dance at UNLV, where she still teaches part time. She is currently working on shop12 projects spanning three different continents: The Emerald (Philippines), Galaxy (China), Naga Vladivostok (Russia), and Resorts World Las Vegas. Elizabeth considers architectural lighting design to be the perfect hybrid of making artistically driven choices and creating the most efficient solution to a high stakes, highly intricate game of larger-than-life Tetris.

Elizabeth is a Member of the United States Institute for Theatre Technology, Inc (USITT) and an Associate Member of the Illuminating Society of North America (IESNA).
